STARS is an affordable and powerful Flight Data Recorder (FDR) download, data replay and aircraft sensor calibration system designed to interface with many of the world’s most popular FDRs. The system includes the STAR software the Multi-Purpose Interface (MPI) and Hand-Held Multi-Purpose Interface (HHMPI).
The STARS software suite with easy to use functions allows flexible options such as user defined security access levels, generate aircraft definitions, transfer data between FDRs/ QARs and memory media.
It’s simplicity enables even infrequent users to quickly down load and view flight data from a variety of FDR and aircraft types.
Flight Data can be viewed in a variety of ways, either as engineering unit listing, graphical traces or a combination with user defined report formats.
For Flight Safety Departments: STARS allows the FDR to be downloaded either on the flight line or in the Flight Safety Department for flight and incident analysis. Advanced search & filter capability assists in fast detection of reported incidents.
For Engineering Departments: Real time data monitoring at the aircraft allows sensor test and calibration using STARS powerful calibration function. Advanced search & filter capability allows fast detection of reported engine or airframe exceedances. Perform mandatory FDR maintenance readout reports using STARS.
The STARS Multi Purpose Interface (MPI) is an interface unit which connects a laptop, tablet or PC to multiple types of FDRs. Unlike competitive products, the MPI offers significant cost advantages by eliminating the need for very costly individual interfaces specific to each FDR type. Only one STARS MPI is required to connect to multiple FDR types. The download FDR provides power to the MPI so there are no internal batteries to worry about recharging.
